This is not a race, but a nice way to recover after the 1 hour time trial. It doubles as a PR-event, since the route has scenic stretches that are perfect for a photo shoot. We urge all racers, supporters, spectators and kids to join by bike.
Despite being on the edge of both Amsterdam and Schiphol airport, the transfer route is very scenic thanks to Dutch policies against urban sprawl. There are two nearly identical 16 km long routes to choose from.
Route 1 is suitable for most riders. It has some speed bumps in the first few kilometers.
Route 2 has been optimized for velomobiles with little ground clearance.
We will bike in small groups to the halfway point, and continue together at 12:45 for the photoshoot.
